A talented Jazz-Funk band at Haberdashers’ Monmouth Schools triumphed during a brilliant night of entertainment in Monmouth’s Got Talent.
The Fuzz, from Monmouth School for Boys, raised the roof at The Blake Theatre with their outstanding performance last night (Thursday 2nd March).
Monmouth’s Got Talent saw acts from the town’s secondary schools dazzle in a variety of styles, including solo singers, pianists and singers accompanying themselves.
It was another amazing celebration of culture and young people in Monmouth, organised by the students themselves to raise money for charity.
Anzhela, from Ukraine, gave a very special performance of Liszt’s Liebestraum to secure second place in the competition.
Isla, from Monmouth Comprehensive School, came third with her powerful performance of Kate Bush’s Running Up That Hill.
But The Fuzz stole the show, deservedly winning the top prize with Black Sax, a great track written for the band by Sam (who was on Sax).
