Admissions to the schools is based on a child’s potential not just on performance in tests. Allowances are made for the anxiety that some children experience when sitting a test. We meet each child and we also take into account the recommendations from the child’s previous school.

Visiting the School

Nothing can beat going to a Haberdashers’ Monmouth Schools Open Day, if you are considering a particular school for your son or daughter. Visiting the buildings, getting a feel for the atmosphere, appreciating the facilities on offer, and having the opportunity to meet the pupils who will act as your guides, is invaluable. Open Days at the schools are very popular with children and parents alike. Grandparents are most welcome too.

Open Days are usually held in October and May and are widely advertised and dates can also be obtained from the Admissions Registrar at each of the schools.

A Sixth Form Information Evening is held at the senior schools in November.

Individual visits are welcomed. Please contact the Admissions Registrars if you would like to arrange a mutually convenient appointment for you to discuss matters privately with the Headteacher and have a tour of the school.
