We deliver a carefully structured, age-appropriate, engaging, relevant and exciting PSHE (Personal, Social, Health, and Economic) programme as part of the curriculum.
With real-life issues at the heart of our comprehensive framework, our students discuss a wide range of important topics, including positive relationships, mental health and wellbeing, gender identity, the consequences of alcohol and drugs, interest rates, saving and mortgages.
Backed up by expert speakers and workshops, we aim to provide our students with the information and support they need to make informed decisions at the right stages of their personal development.
Our Key Stage 3 and 4 programmes are in line with the Welsh Government’s Relationships and Sexuality Education (RSE) guidance.
In the Sixth Form, it is a pupil-led programme which encourages all students to respect the difference and diversity in people, be open-minded and make healthy, safe lifestyle choices in a supported environment.
In today’s rapidly changing society, we recognise that our children cannot shy away from the issues and challenges that are important to them and we have a duty of care to ensure that they are supported fully.
Having received valuable input from our students, we believe our progressive PSHE programme can empower them and help them to build the necessary resilience and confidence to become the best version of themselves.
