Students and staff at Haberdashers’ Monmouth Schools are spending this week in Greece.
The Classics Department and 42 pupils are having a fabulous trip, beginning in Athens.
On the first day, the group had a fascinating guided tour of the Acropolis, the Ancient Agora, and the Kerameikos Cemetery.
In the afternoon, the group enjoyed a traditional Greek lunch before visiting the Acropolis Museum, seeing ancient artefacts, the caryatids and other original sculptures.
On the second day, the group travelled to Ancient Corinth and saw the spectacular Corinth Canal. They learned about the importance of Corinth as a powerful and wealthy state.
