Ailsa, Freya and Keilah, all from Monmouth school for Girls Rowing Club, were invited by Welsh Rowing to attend a Junior Under-16 rowing training camp at Gloucester Rowing Club. 

All three girls demonstrated incredible focus and application and the desire to progress. The day included three gruelling water sessions assessing technique and boat moving skills resulting in completing over 20 kilometres on the water.

The Welsh under 19 head coach commented on being “very excited” to work with all of the athletes in attendance at the next training day. Pictured above are Keilah, Ailsa and Freya who join our other senior girls who are hoping to qualify for the Welsh junior girls team in July to represent team Wales at the Home international regatta in Scotland.
