Three equestrian team riders at Haberdashers’ Monmouth Schools have jumped to success in a grassroots competition.

Monmouth School for Girls’ pupil, Cerys, and Monmouth School Girls’ Prep duo, Ffion and Georgina , shone in the National Schools Equestrian Association (NSEA) Show Jumping qualifier.

Competing at Kings Equestrian Centre in Herefordshire, Ffion, aged seven, was second out of 32 riders in the 40 cms class to qualify for the finals.

Cerys, 13, teamed up with nine-year-old Georgina to take fifth spot in the 60 cms class and sealed a place in the finals.

The Monmouth students are now looking forward to competing in the grassroots regional championships at the same venue on Sunday 8th December.
