Sue recently attended the 2015 Sainsbury’s School Games hosted in Manchester at the beginning of September and represented Wales for the Foil team.

She writes:

“I thoroughly enjoyed myself and believe that it was a valuable and exceptional learning experience. It was a pleasure to meet and compete against fencers from different countries and find out more about their cultures. I will strive to improve and hope to earn a medal next year.”

Fencing is offered to boys and girls at the Haberdashers’ Monmouth Schools from a young age and Sue’s elevation to the Welsh squad represents a significant milestone in the rapid growth of the sport at the schools.  We congratulate her on an exceptional achievement.
