The 4th of March was an outstanding afternoon of Tennis for the HMSG senior girls’ tennis squad.  They faced Cheltenham College in the final 16 of the AEGON Schools Senior Students’ Team Tennis competition.  Away from home, Arianna, Flo and Jenny all won their singles convincingly putting the HMSG team ahead 3-1.  In the doubles matches Arianna paired with and Flo and Jenny with Laura.  Both teams were evenly matched to start; keeping the spectators on the edge of their seats.  However, the HMSG team held their nerve and played some excellent tennis to win both matches 6-4 and the fixture 5-1.

All of these girls are members of the Haberdashers’ Monmouth Tennis Academy and the extra coaching they have received this year really showed what an awesome force they are now on the tennis court.  They now travel to Bolton to play in the National Finals where they will be playing the top 8 schools in the country.
