Each year the WJEC collect together examples of the best A level Design and Technology work from across the country to exemplify skill, creativity, flair and innovation.

All the work chosen is exhibited at Sophia Gardens as part of the “Innovation awards”. We are very proud that Eleanor and Catrin, who both gained A grades at A2 and AS level respectively, were both nominated for the awards with Eleanor’s lectern being chosen for exhibition as it demonstrated “great flair, skill, accuracy and attention to detail”. Catrin’s “festival tent that folded up into a rucksack was a particular highlight” of the moderation process.

The lectern will be displayed at Cardiff on October 5th and 6th and we hope Eleanor is as successful as Claire Williams who was presented with a prize for innovation by The First Minister of Wales; Carwyn Jones at the same awards in 2011.
