June 16, 2023

A popular member of staff is bidding farewell later today (Friday 16th June) after working at Haberdashers’ Monmouth Schools for more than 20 years.
Mr Danny Nineham, who is an expert on big cats in the wild, is known for driving pupils and staff between sites, on trips and excursions. He has also looked after the fleet of vehicles.
Mr Nineham is the School Driver and Vehicles Coordinator, having initially joined the catering department two decades ago.
“I’m very loyal and I love everyone and everything about these schools,” said Mr Nineham, who is looking forward to a well-earned retirement.
“I enjoy chatting to the children and I love it when they return to see me once they’ve left and seeing the impact even a few short chats can have on them.
“I want to spend time gardening when I can, spending more time with my family, and I want to pick up my five-year-old grandson from school and go fishing with my 11-year-old grandson.
“I’m looking forward to relaxing with my family, looking after my wife, and pursuing my interests.”
