Key Stage 2 Specialist Art Teacher – Monmouth School Boys’ Prep

(Full-time or part-time post for September 2018 some flexibility for the right candidate)

Monmouth School Boys’ Prep seeks to appoint an outstanding classroom practitioner to teach in this well-established, thriving preparatory school housed in new purpose-built premises, with subject specialist teaching throughout.  The ideal candidate would be able to teach Art to an exceptionally high standard as well as additional subjects, including Humanities. All members of staff contribute to the extra- and co-curricular activities and would be expected to run after-school clubs and activities.

Resident Graduate Assistants (2 positions) – Monmouth School for Girls

We have an exciting opportunity, from September 2018, for two graduates to live and work in a girls’ boarding house in one of the leading boarding and day schools in the country.

We are seeking enthusiastic graduates with interest and qualifications in more than one sport, ideally hockey, lacrosse, netball or swimming. There is equal opportunity for someone considering a career in education to join the school to support our academic enrichment programme. The successful candidates will be required to play a full part in the life of the boarding community and live on site during term-time.

The posts will ideally suit a graduate with good Bachelor or post-graduate degree, who seeks experience in an educational environment and who may wish to pursue a career in education or embark in further academic research.

Founded in 1892, Monmouth School for Girls is a selective girls’ day and boarding school for 7 to 18 year olds with c600 pupils, which has always played a leading role in the education of girls. Part-time Teacher of Religious Studies – Monmouth School for Girls

Monmouth School for Girls seeks to appoint, from September 2018, a part-time (maximum 55% timetable), suitably qualified, enthusiastic and experienced teacher of Religious Studies to work with Key Stages 3 and 4. The Haberdashers’ Monmouth Schools have their own generous salary scale and benefits above the national average. Catering Assistants – Monmouth School for Girls

Monmouth School for Girls are seeking to recruit catering assistants.

  • Post 1: 7 hours per week, Saturday 12 – 7.30pm with a half hour lunch break term time only.
  • Post 2: 3½ hours per week Saturday 4 – 7.30pm term time only.

Summary of the Role: To assist in promoting the highest standards of catering and cleanliness within the school.

Gap Student – Monmouth School for Boys

Monmouth School for Boys seeks to appoint a Gap Student, for the period of 3 September to 12 December 2018.

This post would suit a recent school leaver who is currently taking a gap year and would enjoy working in a boarding school environment. Knowledge of and enthusiasm for sport are essential, as is an enthusiasm for working with young people and the ability to act as a positive role model. The ability to coach rugby, football and/or cricket is an advantage, but not essential. Accommodation will be made available.
