Bountiful Harvest collection for people in need

October 8th, 2018

Haberdashers’ Monmouth Schools have been collecting food for an organisation which provides food and furniture for people in need throughout the region.

To celebrate Harvest, students and staff at Monmouth have been donating non-perishable food items for Raven House Trust in Newport.

Charity co-ordinator at Monmouth School for Girls, Miss Joanna Johnson, said: “Over the past few weeks, the whole school community has been collecting non-perishable food to send to Raven House Trust.

“Hands-on, worthwhile work like this puts things into perspective for our students and raises their awareness of those who need support, encouraging a culture of selfless giving.

“That has certainly been evident with this year’s bountiful Harvest collection to help those in need at Raven House Trust.”
