Prep IV have been investigating how lungs function this week and, as part of this, have pumped air into sheep lungs to show how they fill with air and stretch. This was followed by a lung dissection by Dr Wall to show the different parts of the lungs, relating structure to function. The boys then built their own model lung from everyday items to model how the breathing mechanisms work.
