Staff Leaving/Arriving

Goodbye to staff at The Grange

Madame Morse takes up her position as Housemistress of Augusta House at HMSG in January. We thank her for the terrific contribution she has made to school life over her years with us. We will remember fondly the French café afternoons and the many events that made learning French such great fun. We wish her well and will, no doubt, see her around at various school events in the future.

Mr Webb leaves us after 22 years at The Grange. He has instilled a love of art, DT and science in hundreds of boys over the years. Often when I meet up with pupils now grown up, one of the first things they remember with much fondness is Mr Webb and his airboats, marble runs, sending the egg through the post and all the other challenges that made learning such fun. It was sad to see him go but we all made sure that it was regarded as a time of celebration for the years of service that he has given to the school. In the final assembly he was presented with gifts from grateful parents – a splendid GPS watch that does all sorts of marvellous extra things and a voucher for Zip World (Snowdonia) where he will be able to ride the longest and fastest zip-wire in Europe! When he watched the film of the zip wire in action, his face was a picture and the boys laughed with delight at the prospect. Perhaps we can persuade him to wear a head held camera for the occasion! He asked me to pass on his thanks for the generous gifts. We feel very fortunate and privileged to have had Mr Webb as a teacher at our school all these years. We wish him well in his busy and active retirement.

Welcome to the new staff at The Grange:
