After a rigorous search, Mrs Jennie Phillips was selected on merit from an impressive field of external candidates. At interview, she was able to demonstrate her energy, enthusiasm, creativity and vision for the Girls’ Prep and made a very positive impression on both girls and staff during the two day selection process.

In addition, Mrs Phillips will continue to play a key role at Monmouth Schools Pre-Prep and Nursery where she will become joint Head with Mr Neil Shaw, Head of Monmouth School Boys’ Prep. The Governors and Senior Management Teams across the schools feel confident that this new structure will enable us to share educational expertise and resources which will increase the opportunities on offer for all our children aged 3 to 11.

Mr Matt Wren has been appointed as Senior Deputy Head, Monmouth Schools Pre-Prep and Nursery. Based at Agincourt, Mr Wren will have responsibility for the day-to-day running of the school and will be the key point of contact there for parents and staff.
