As part of the Literary Festival, a planetarium was erected by Monmouth Astronomy Group and a very nice man called Dave stayed for the day taking groups of children from the Monmouth Schools into the planetarium. PIV boys had the pleasure of a session in the dome, which was rather warm but well worth the discomfort, as constellations of stars appeared above their heads. Much was learnt about the solar system and there was the opportunity to hold asteroids and look through telescopes.
