Concern Universal

February 5th, 2014

The Grange display Universal Concern

As a result of raising £967 for Herefordshire based charity Concern Universal, a workshop was organised for pupils to enhance their understanding of how these funds are used to benefit people living in developing countries.

In line with their geography and global citizenship work, Prep II and Prep III pupils were able to get their hands dirty to produce fuel efficient clay stoves, replicas of those used in Malawi, which will be kiln fired and tested.

With the hope of improving the lives of people around the world, boys also designed postcards to highlight the effects of climate change, which will be sent via Concern Universal to Ban Ki Moon, UN Secretary General.

A very successful and enjoyable day was had by all involved.
