The music and dance act at Haberdashers’ Monmouth Schools, called The Shadow, took the top prize.

An impressive music-and-dance act from Haberdashers’ Monmouth Schools triumphed in a popular talent contest at The Blake Theatre.

The Shadow, which comprised of singers, dancers, a pianist and a cellist, wowed the judges and audience to win Monmouth’s Got Talent 2020 on Thursday 5th March.

Monmouth School for Girls’ pupils Vivian, Rose, Nerys, Carmen and Maria were joined by Monmouth School for Boys’ pupil, Arnold.

Magician, Joe, a pupil at Monmouth Comprehensive School, was the runner-up and rapper, Rohi, a pupil at Monmouth School for Boys, finished in third place.

The evening was a special celebration of talent at the three secondary schools in Monmouth and raised money for the mental health charities, Mindstep and Ted Senior Foundation.
