Two eye-catching pieces of artwork by a former Monmouth School for Boys’ student have been chosen for an exhibition in London.

The impressive works by Old Monmothian, Jason Wan, are due appear at The Royal Over-Seas League exhibition in Mayfair in March.

Jason’s ceramic horse and his mixed media portrait of Mr Philip Griffin, Head of Drama at Monmouth School for Boys, have been selected.

The Royal Society of British Artists, The Arts Society and The Royal Over-Seas League have joined together in partnership for The RBA Star Students Exhibition.

The Monmouthshire Arts Society had submitted Jason’s work for The Royal Society of British Artists’ consideration.

More than 200 works were submitted to the RBA council and Head of Art and Design at Monmouth School for Boys, Mr Matt Peake, is delighted that Jason’s artwork has been recognised nationally.

Jason achieved an A* grade in his A level Art and Design examination at Monmouth last summer and is now reading Landscape Architecture at the University of Sheffield.
