The sixth form EAL pupils had a great adventure this week as 8 boys from Monmouth School and 10 girls from HMSG braved the cold in Blaenavon to experience life down a coal mine. We donned miners hats and lamps, walked for an hour in the underground mines. Huge thanks must go to the informative and helpful staff who welcomed us all so warmly and congratulations to the students who bravely voyaged underground!
