Year 1 Bread Workshop

The Year 1 children used a 17th Century recipe to make and bake their own bread this week. Whilst their dough was proving the children completed a set of taste tests of different breads from around the world; including baguette, pitta, nan and bagels. They recorded their reactions to each of the different tastes and textures in table format. Mrs Lewis had baked some cakes from a recipe she had found in Samuel Pepys diary which the children all enjoyed at break time.
