Emma has booked her place at the national championships at Bury Farm.

Two teenage riders at Monmouth School for Girls have qualified for national finals.

Emma  finished runner-up in her class at a National Schools Equestrian Association (NSEA) County Dressage Qualifier at Kings Equestrian Centre in Bromyard.

Emma, 15, will now represent Herefordshire as an individual in the national championships at Bury Farm in Buckinghamshire on 18th April.

Fellow Year 11 pupil, Olivia, 16, will also be competing on a big stage after sealing her place at this summer’s Royal International Horse Show.

The show jumper is looking forward to competing at Hickstead in July after winning her class – and achieving the fastest triple clear – at a winter qualifier in Lincoln.

Olivia, who was among 80 starters, progressed through to the second round before winning a four-way jump-off in her class to book her ticket to the finals in July.

Elsewhere, the Haberdashers’ Monmouth Schools’ team of Bibi, Evie, and Lloyd won their class at the NSEA Regional Show Jumping Qualifier at Allens Hill Equestrian Competition Centre in Worcestershire.

The trio took first place as a team in the 80 cms class, which was a wonderful achievement, while Bibi came sixth as an individual.

Bibi, Holly, and Lloyd also competed against strong opposition in the 90 cms class and finished a creditable sixth place.
