There were plenty of thrills and spills at Monmouth School for Girls for the return of the popular Despontin Hockey Tournament.
Eight teams from six independent schools battled it out at under-13 level and the skill levels from the players involved, was outstanding.
Headmistress at Monmouth School for Girls, Mrs Jessica Miles, presented the Despontin Trophy to The Elms School, who were the deserved winners overall.
Howell’s School, who also shone, finished runners-up. Abberley Hall School were excellent and took third place.
Players from Moor Park School, The Downs Malvern and Monmouth School for Girls also represented their teams with tremendous pride and enthusiasm.
