The Great Grotto Transformation and Christmas Jumper Day

December 5, 2014

15 second grotto transformation
After all the children had gone home on Thursday the Agincourt elves were busy. Their mission was to transform our new welly shed into something rather spectacular. Armed with tinsel, baubles, trees and fairy lights, all donated by staff, they got to work. With Christmas songs to accompany them, and everyone in good spirits, the evening was enjoyed by all. The elves’ efforts brought delight from the children and tears from some of the Mums.

Mr Wren scaled the trees in the car park to collect mistletoe, which Mrs Shaw sold, with free kisses included, to raise money for Save the Children. The children looked fabulous in their Christmas jumpers, and worked very hard all morning, to ensure that Father Christmas would visit after lunch.

The Big Reception Biscuit Give-away

As a part of our Christmas Jumper Day, where money was raised for Save the Children, our Reception children were busy baking biscuits. The children were encouraged to think about the pleasure of giving, and the importance of sharing. They sang a song for the staff, Nursery and school children before distributing their handiwork for all to enjoy.
