Health Care Assistant, Ms Hollie Williams, took the top prize in the first Masked Singer event at Haberdashers’ Monmouth Schools.
She was one of brilliant staff six acts who made The Blake Theatre zing with excitement in an evening, as part of Wellbeing Week, that raised £1,000 for the DEC Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal.
The judges had a hard time trying to work out who was under the costumes disguised as Olaf, Minion, Bob the Builder, Dora the Explorer, Elmo and Buzz Lightyear,
The winner, Ms Williams, delivered a brilliant rendition of On My Own from the musical, Les Misérables.
Mrs Liz Gregory, Deputy Head Academic; Mrs Linda Parr, Physics teacher; Ms Elizabeth Phillips, Teaching Assistant; Mrs Rachel Rees, Deputy Head (Pastoral) at Monmouth School for Girls; and Mr Tom Evans, Deputy Head at Monmouth Prep School, were all outstanding on the stage.
The Greatest Showman dancers, D4Motion Juniors and Seniors and the close-harmony group from Monmouth School for Boys, The Monnowtones, also dazzled the audience.
“A huge thank you to everyone who took part, and all staff and local businesses who donated raffle prizes,” said Ms Sarah Fowler, Head of Wellbeing at Haberdashers’ Monmouth Schools.
