Children at Monmouth Schools Pre-Prep and Nursery were given a special medieval welcome to mark the start of term and the launch of their Turrets and Tiaras topic.

All staff dressed in period costume and children had the opportunity to make bread, visit selfie-corner, build castles from materials, and help decorate a large cardboard castle.

“The children were instantly fired up and ready to embrace the Turrets and Tiaras theme and, equally importantly, any first day nerves disappeared as if by magic,” said Headmistress, Mrs Jennie Phillips.
