About us

Director of Sixth Form

A unique Sixth Form experience

“We want your time in the Sixth Form to be one you look back on with a sense of achievement and happiness. We foster a can-do attitude and encourage you to seize every opportunity on offer during your time with us. You will discover new skills, gain a greater depth and understanding of your chosen subjects, develop lifelong friendships and make important decisions about your future career paths. Our students have a lot of fun but also a sense of purpose.

Our co-educational lessons will deliver the right mix of ideas and learning styles to challenge your intellect and prepare you for life beyond school, whilst our single-sex pastoral care will provide the support and guidance you need to grow and flourish.

You can enrich the Sixth Form experience by taking part in the wide range of joint activities on offer both within the curriculum and beyond. From joint musical and dramatic productions and sport, to academic societies and joint study trips, the co-curricular life of the schools will help you develop into a rounded individual, ready to lead a fulfilled life. We provide a rich programme of activities to cover a broad cross-section of interests, many of which have been outlined in this prospectus. A particular example is the Monmouth Enterprise Initiative which involves an overnight stay in London, a formal dinner at Haberdashers’ Hall, and a work placement the following day. It is organised and funded each year by the Haberdashers’ Company. This event represents a tremendous opportunity for the Sixth Formers involved, to see how companies at the heart of the City work and to make contacts with some of its most dynamic businessmen and women.

In short, we firmly believe that our Sixth Formers really do experience the best of both worlds – working, living and enjoying themselves in both single-sex and co-educational environments. In the process, each of you will learn a great deal about yourself and one another as you prepare for life beyond school.”
