A unique Sixth Form experience

At Monmouth Schools Sixth Form, we recognise Sixth Formers as individuals and offer a bespoke experience that takes into account their strengths. We firmly believe that there is something for everyone. At this crucial stage in their educational journey, our students benefit from co-educational teaching and small class sizes.

With our Sixth Form Centres occupying two sites in the heart of Monmouth, our students are very much part of this vibrant community and are able to enjoy the freedom and independence of walking between the sites and visiting the town. Our students enjoy the independence that comes with being in the Sixth Form and the responsibilities that this brings, with opportunities to demonstrate leadership throughout the school.

Whilst we understand the need for independence, we also offer excellent pastoral support. Each student belongs to a small tutor group with a personal tutor to guide them through their academic studies as well as a pastoral leader who gives them individual support when needed. With a school wide focus on well-being, there is plenty of support available to students.

We offer 29 A level subjects, giving students the flexibility to study their preferred options.

We believe that having a healthy balance of academic, sport and enrichment activities is crucial in developing the whole person.

With strong competition for university places, we understand the need to give breadth to our students’ experience, and our enrichment programme is designed to enhance skills such as leadership, collaboration, communication and presenting; all skills that serve our students well at university and beyond.
