The Master in Charge of Cricket at Monmouth School for Boys has bowled over the town club’s coaches.
Mr Callum Bassett-Jones, a Level 3 coach, delivered a fielding masterclass to Monmouth Cricket Club on Friday 11th November.
Mr Bassett-Jones was invited along to share his knowledge – and the session proved very useful to the town club’s aspiring coaches.
Mr Bassett-Jones works with the Cricket Wales age-group sides as part of the Glamorgan County Cricket Club pathway.
Last month, Haberdashers’ Monmouth Schools was named among the best in the country for cricket coaching, facilities and provision.
The schools have been listed in The Cricketer Schools Guide 2023, which includes the top 100 senior schools in a bumper 156-page supplement.
Next month, Sophia, a Sixth Form student at Monmouth, will be travelling to South Africa in the England Under-19 squad for the inaugural women’s age-group World Cup.
