Children at Monmouth School for Boys received one-to-one throwing tuition from professional artist, Emily Myers.
The school’s Art Department hosted an inspiring ceramic demonstration and workshop with Emily and the South Wales Potters last weekend.
Pupils had a wonderful opportunity to watch Emily throw different forms as well as carve her pots.
The pupils each made a faceted piece for their GCSE portfolio.
Art Teacher, Ms Sheila Mone, who organised the successful event, said: “We have brilliant ceramics facilities at Monmouth School for Boys and our connections with professional artists and designers is something that we nurture.”
