This afternoon our three Year 2 classes joined forces to undertake some further investigations into the materials used to build castles of old. They gathered around the fire pit to find out which materials were non-combustible and had the strength to survive a mediaeval attack. After they had evaluated their results the children set out into the grounds to learn a little more about navigation by using compass points.
