The Dance troupe then headed down to the Nursery classroom to perform their dances for the younger children before their own Eisteddfod began.Who knew that our fabulous Nursery children had been hiding away so much talent? The children were all given the opportunity to perform in front of the their friends and a wide range of skills were on display, with singing, gymnastics, recital and standing on one leg all being met with rapturous applause. A special mention to Peppe and his terrific Tom Jones impersonation, which had us all transfixed from beginning to end. A strong vocal and experimental dance moves took ‘Delilah’ to a whole new level!
On Wednesday the whole School and Nursery celebrated the joy of being Welsh, or for the English amongst us the opportunity to sing, dance and eat too many Welsh cakes! Mrs Clifton’s Year 1 Dance Troupe did us proud with their performance of two traditional dances ‘Jac y do’ and ‘Cylch y Cymry’. Each year group sang a song in Welsh, with some impressive pronunciation and beautiful melodies, so very well done to Mrs Chowns and Mrs Reynolds. It really was a lovely start to the day’s festivities.
