Jonathan Edwards, Costa Poetry Prize winner and English teacher from our very own HMSG, joined us for assembly this week. He treated us to two of his favourite poems, plus an excerpt from ‘George’s Marvellous Medicine’ by Roald Dahl. Mr Edwards challenged the children to write their own short poem as a gift for someone they love.
