Nursery children pamper mums for Mothering Sunday

March 9, 2018

Children at a Monmouth nursery took the opportunity to show their mums just how much they love and appreciate them.

To celebrate Mothering Sunday, children invited their mums to join them for a morning of pampering at Monmouth Schools Pre-Prep and Nursery on Friday 9th March.

Mrs Taylor and Mrs Cameron have successfully organised this event before – but it does seem to get bigger and better every year.

Thank you too to Mrs Bain for volunteering her services as a spare Mum and coming in on her morning off to help out.

Nursery leader, Mrs Taylor, said: “Lots of mums came along and had their nails painted, hair done, hands massaged and bracelets made for them by their children. It was great fun but also served a purpose to help the children develop their fine motor skills and to thank their mums.

“The mums were given goodie bags, containing bulbs planted by their children in October. It was a very special morning and great to see the children fully engaged in all the activities.”

A huge amount of effort and preparation by both the staff and children had obviously gone into making the morning such a great success and such fun for all involved.
