Pupils at a Monmouth school have donated boxes of shoes and clothes to vulnerable and orphaned children in Africa.
Monmouth Schools Pre-Prep and Nursery collected more than 100 pairs of children’s shoes for the Cardiff-based charity, MAD4Kids, (Making a Difference), to send to Zambia.
The new link has been established by Mrs Sarah Chowns, a teacher at the school, and charity representative Gareth Vaughan spoke to the Monmouth pupils in assembly.
The school has also donated a vast amount of second-hand uniform which will also be heading to Zambia through another charity, Operation Sunshine.
