Geography Day

February 7, 2014

The Geography Day turned out to be one of the most successful we have held at school. The children were taken from the airport to visit different countries in each classroom.  Here they learnt about the country and took part in a related activity. In Zambia the children danced to African music before making their own bead bracelets. They then moved on to Egypt to be surrounded by pyramids and sphinxes where they made masks and clay scarab beetles. The smell of curry enticed the children upstairs to have a wonderful Indian experience. Tulip bulbs were planted in Holland, Monet pictures produced in France and a variety of Chinese dragons were crafted ready to go home from China. This very successful day raised £1000.
