Creative Curriculum

“ Art enables us to find ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time” Thomas Merton

“Creativity takes courage” Henri Matisse

“An essential aspect of creativity is not being afraid to fail”

At Monmouth Schools Pre-Prep & Nursery we strive to give all the children a broad range of art experiences, looking at art in the local environment, the world around us, and the work of famous artists.  Using the elements of art and different media, the children can explore and demonstrate skill and understanding as well as producing inspiring and individual pieces of work.  From Nursery through to year 2, the children are encouraged to be creative, confident and imaginative as well as gaining a positive appreciation for art.

Excellent Work

The school is overflowing with colourful and original displays illustrating the superb work that is done throughout the year.

Our ethos is to “switch on” young minds because these are the years that set the tone for their education and their attitude to school. The quality of the work produced by our pupils is outstanding, because it is perfectly natural that children want to give their best, all the time.
