The topic of food will be high on the agenda for children at Monmouth Schools Pre-Prep and Nursery.
Trips to local farms will form a significant part of the new Yum Yum study topic which was launched on Tuesday 7th January.
A representative from Kiddy Cook ran a cookery workshop with all the children from Nursery to Year 2.
“We will be working alongside and visiting local farms as well as larger companies such as Cadbury World,” explained Mr Matt Wren, Senior Deputy Head.
Children will be learning about food from around the world, where it originates from and how it is produced.
As part of the creative curriculum, the youngsters will be taught about sustainability and how to make eco-friendly and healthy choices, something which the school feels is extremely important.
