For those of you who haven’t heard, Olivia is the oak tree at the bottom of the field that the ‘Council’ want to chop down.Year 1 are challenged with saving her by explaining the importance of trees, their purpose to woodland animals and persuading those nasty Council officials to change their minds. While on a leaf spotting walk on Monday, the children discovered a letter from Olivia asking for their help, as well as a collection of letters from some concerned woodland animals. Our fearless campaigners are learning about social responsibility, how to debate and honing their powers of persuasion. Great job, team!
