The Year 2 children have all written to their Australian pen-pals from Drayton State School in Toowoomba, Australia.  On Friday they walked along the riverside to Monmouth Post Office where the children were told about the journey that their letters would make. The letters will be tracked through their journey so that the children are able to follow their progress. Year 2 rounded off their outing with a visit to  ‘Pasty Heaven’ where the lovely proprietor, Peter, insisted on giving each child a free cookie.
