Year 2 visit Brecon Mountain Valley Railway

June 15, 2017

On Monday Year 2 set off into the Welsh valleys for their trip to Brecon Mountain Valley Railway. They boarded their train at Pant station where it was full steam ahead whilst the children kept close look out for the geographical features on their activity cards. The train reached the end of its extremely picturesque outward journey at Torpantau where everyone had a snack and posed for photographs whilst the engine turned around. On the way back along the line the train stopped at Pontsticill, where the children visited the steam museum and saw some beautifully restored engines. Then it was back to Pant for a picnic and a chance to watch the miniature railway in action.
