The Year 1 children walked along the riverside into Monmouth on Wednesday. We are currently in the middle of ‘Fair Trade Fortnight’ and the children were on a mission to discover more about the fair trade products that we might find on the supermarket shelves. The staff at Waitrose explained how their buyers source products and talked about their own Waitrose fair trade farms. The children were given a list of products to find and enjoyed hunting through the aisles. With fair trade products to taste and giant cookies to bring home the trip was declared a great success!
