The nursery staff and children enjoyed a lovely walk along the river to visit the Oxfam shop in Monmouth on Wednesday. When they arrived the children were very excited to see that the shop window was full of their very own art and craft work on the theme of ‘The Very Hungry Caterpilar’ by Eric Carle. This popular book is celebrating its 50th birthday and the staff at Oxfam had really embraced the challenge. Our huge thanks to Maggie Griffiths and the manager and team at Oxfam, who also provided a treasure hunt, jelly caterpillars and a caterpillar cake!
