Summer Term – Week 10

Dear Parents

As I sit to write this week’s instalment, it is inevitable that I reflect on the academic year that has just passed. Today marks the end of my sixteenth year in the teaching profession, and like many of us, I cannot recall a year quite like this one.

Although I am disappointed that we cannot hold our traditional Leavers’ Service, or be there in person to wave the children off as their attention turns to long summer days, I am also overwhelmed by a sense of pride. The challenges imposed on us this year have reinforced the importance of robust, school and family partnerships. I am immensely proud of our ‘Agincourt Family’. As esteemed members, I cannot thank you enough for your support and dedication, particularly during the last term. I have been amazed by the standard of work submitted and the level of engagement from you and your wonderful children.

Of course, I am also thankful for the incredible team of staff whom I have the privilege of working alongside. Working in education, we are programmed to be flexible and adaptable in our approach. Nevertheless, the support and dedication from every member of staff has surpassed any level of expectation this year.

Looking ahead, I am extremely excited about returning to Agincourt in September. Even though there are still decisions to be made regarding the shape of our return, I look forward to welcoming you and your children on September 9th. In the meantime, I hope you have the opportunity to rest and recharge this summer.

With best wishes
Mr Wren
