Michaelmas Term – Week 8

This week has seen the school and nursery full of singing, as all of the children have begun rehearsals for their Nativity shows. There are some exceedingly catchy numbers, so I expect that you may have already heard some snippets at home. In Confidence for Life (C4L) lessons this week we have launched an Action for Happiness campaign (an excellent organisation who promote well-being and whose patron is none other than The Dalai Lama) which encourages us to follow ‘ten keys for happiness’. We are encouraging the children to think about how to help themselves whilst helping others and to look for the positives in every situation. There have been no shortage of positives to find this week, with the whole school taking part in a takeover day at Raglan Castle and Nursery inviting their parents to a wonderful bonfire party, as well as marshmallows around the campfire for our baby group Forest Schoolers. My enterprising staff have a really special day of Remembrance Day activities planned for all of the Nursery and School children on Monday, so watch this space for a few more surprises….
