Lent 2020 Week 9: 13/3/2020
Lent Term – Week 9
It has been a week of new experiences for all in our new abode. The children have settled remarkably well into their new setting and we are extremely proud of their positive and tenacious attitude.
Our Nursery children have been busy exploring their outdoor area and scavenger hunting in Forest School. Our Friends association arranged delivery of 2 mud kitchens late last week and these have been a huge attraction.
Over in Reception, our team have been working hard at developing pastel techniques in Art lessons and acrostic poetry in Literacy sessions.
Meanwhile, children in Year 1 have continued on their culinary journey by using a variety of spices in their paint work. Upstairs, they have also been busy learning how to log on to our new notebooks and use the mouse to create their own images on Purple Mash.
On Tuesday, our Year 2 pupils visited Trevase Farm to experience modern farming methods and witness the process of anaerobic digestion. I was amazed by the enthusiasm and the breadth of knowledge displayed by the children.
