Africa Day

March 19, 2016

The children began their Africa Day celebrations with some research into African schools. They made comparisons with their own school and took some time to contemplate how lucky we are at Agincourt. The children then moved outside to play some traditional African playground games. Blindfolded lions searched for impala for breakfast and cheeky monkeys tried to cross the river. In the afternoon they constructed some beautiful mud huts from clay, sticks and straw before gathering around the campfire in the sunshine for some of Mrs. Powell’s African vegetable stew.
