A ‘pop-up’ carol concert in the Atrium brought a lovely festive atmosphere to morning break-time at Monmouth School for Girls.

The event was organised by the St Catherine’s Strings group – a co-curricular group of keen student musicians who meet on Thursday lunchtimes – and was led by music teacher Mrs Friend.

Speaking after the concert, Mrs Friend said: “We decided to do a ‘pop-up’ carol session to help everyone get into the Christmas spirit. I thought the group played beautifully and it may become something of a tradition!”
