Old Monmothian, Liam O’Hare, is preparing for his second professional fight

A former student at Monmouth School for Boys is stepping inside the ring this Friday (25th February) for his second professional fight.
Old Monmothian, Liam O’Hare, will be fighting in a super middleweight boxing contest against Josh ‘The Bandit’ Hodgins in Birmingham.
Hodgins is a 31-year-old Birmingham-based fighter who has had 12 professional bouts so far.
Liam defeated Kevin McCauley, a veteran of 248 bouts, who proved a durable opponent, on his professional debut in December.
Liam was a pupil at The Grange (now Monmouth Prep School) and a student at Monmouth School for Boys, leaving after Sixth Form in the summer of 2015.
At Monmouth, Liam boarded in New House and Buchanan House, where he enjoyed playing the League of Legends game.
While studying at Monmouth, Liam joined Lydney Boxing Club in the Forest of Dean and trained three times a week under the guidance of coach Brian Higgs, who remains his mentor.
Liam is now a member of The City of Hereford Boxing Academy. The contest is to take place at The Eastside Rooms, Woodcock Street, Birmingham B7 4BL.
Tickets for the show are priced at standard, £40, and ringside, £75. Doors open at 6pm, with the boxing action getting under way at 7pm.
