We are thrilled to share the wonderful news that former Music Scholar, Christian Loizou, made his UK professional debut at Grange Park Opera, performing as a Bass in Rachmaninoff’s opera Aleko and Donizetti’s The Daughter of the Regiment.

Christian, a proud Old Monmothian (Alumnus), recently graduated from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. During his time at Monmouth School, from 2013 to 2018, Christian was a vibrant part of the school’s musical community. He actively participated in many musical groups, including Chapel Choir and the Barbershop ensemble.

His exceptional talent and dedication were recognised by the Director of Music, Mr. David Lawson, who awarded Christian a Music Scholarship. This scholarship paved the way for Christian to hone his musical skills and pursue his passion.

Currently, Christian is captivating audiences at the prestigious Grange Park Opera, participating in their Summer Opera Festival.
