Monmouth’s unstoppable 1st XV has been short-listed in the School Team of the Year category by the National Rugby Awards.

The dedicated boys were chosen out of several hundred teams to be in the final six of the category, with the judges facing very difficult decisions due to the high standard of entrants.

The awards ceremony will be held at Twickenham Stadium on Wednesday, September 2,  in the famous Rose Room.

This exciting news follows a year of triumph for the players, who were crowned Fifteen Rugby’s Team of the Term thanks to thousands of online voters in January.

After achieving an amazing unbeaten season, the boys also won Samurai Sportswear’s equivalent prize in December, 2014.
